So I was sketching last night, and I decided to try a new style of inking. I think it looks almost comic-book style.

Warning: Drawn nudity.

I haven't been this patient with anything in a long time. It was a lot of fun.\

Please share you opinions on the two different styles, ways to improve, etc.

What is the new style, exactly? How are you doing it?

I like the new style a lot more than the old. It looks a lot more "finished."

Instead of just drawing lines, I drew shapes. Like triangles or crescent type things, then filled in the shapes with ink. I suppose a similar effect could be achieved with an angled pen or marker or something, but doing it the way I did is easier for me.

Also, not filling in lines around the whole shape is new for me. I would usually ink the whole outline, but this time I left gaps.

Good job with the inking. Massive improvement on the old style. I envy you and your patience; inking is just a chore for me. It's nice to see that the extra effort goes a long way.

Your proportion is actually not that bad, and most flaws I see comes down to artistic license. Only thing that's annoying me is the nipple on the left (her right) breast. It's a bit too high and too far to the left, as her positioning would have me believe her breast would be closer to a 3/4 view, while her breast at the moment is leaning more towards a side view.

Hmm. Yeah, I see what you mean. I should really wait longer between sketching and inking. I miss a lot of mistakes that I would see later or someone else would see.

It's a lot better then the old style of inking you did, and I must say it looks very nice.

It definitely looks more stylistic and animé-ish, very nice. I'd also like to see something with some colour in it.

Could you post the image? I really don't want to have to sign up to deviantART to see your picture.

I didn't post it directly to the thread cause it will break tables. These links should work without you signing up for DA:

Yeah I like how much bolder it is, and how certain parts can stand out more from the backgrounds. In fact, it might be a good idea to make a background with the old-style with a person in the foreground inked with the new style.
I think you should miss out less parts, but that's just personal opinion.

I think doing that made it seem loose and took away from the style of it. I think you should do it, but less.

I agree with I_smell. Your old style was connected and complete, but had no flair, while your new style has plenty of pretty, but it's a little too broken up and random. The new style is a step-up from the old, don't get me wrong, but you need to find a happy medium between the two.
