It's been about 6 months. Let's try to get another one of these going.

Please read the following
Post your characters in this thread. What they look like and a brief description of their powers, personality. They must be your own creation. All entries will be considered and the only way you're not going to be able to participate is if the character is unoriginal or we can tell you just didn't try. A stick man ain't gonna cut it.

Entries will be open for awhile. Once we get quite a few I'll post a definite deadline. Plenty of time to get your characters in. Once entry is closed no other submissions will be accepted.

When the tournament starts you will have 2 days to launch your attack. Once your opponent strikes you will have 2 days to ready a counter attack. Each participant will get 2 chances to fight in each battle. Therefore the fights will go like this.

Fight starts
Player 1 attacks within 2 days time
Player 2 attacks within 2 days time
Player 1 attacks within 2 days time
Player 2 attacks within 2 days time
Fight ends

If the person reserves to go first and does not attack within the 2 days the other contestant has an additional 2 days to attack. If neither attack, both are out. If the second gets his attack in then they win by default.

If neither reserves and there is no peep from either contestant after the 2 days are up then they are both out.

Attacks can take as many frames as needed just be sure to have it completed within the time allotted.

Outcome will be determined by a vote at the end of the the fight in a thread made by either myself or Relaps.

Pairings will be done out of a hat style every round with who ever remains.

[RELAPS NOTES]: The Comic Judging should be based on three things:

1. Art: Is it decent? Pleasing to the eye? Terrible?
2. Creativity: Cool situations, interesting ways of handling the fights?
3. Funny: This is a COMIC competiton. It should be funny, but NOT random. Don't make the Flowerpot monster from Arubalanda appear out of your character's pants.

There you have it, the 33.3%'s of judging. Take ALL of these into account. Just because someone can draw well, if their comic is boring, then this whole contest will be a bore, albeit a pretty one. The same thing goes for if it's a crappy looking, hilarious comic. You shouldn't make a comic win on art alone, but it's still 1/3'd of the judging, so don't ignore it either.

Another thing for contestants: Treat your opponents character with respect. If it's a tennis player that fires flaming tennis balls, don't make him a retard in your comic round. Don't have him shitting himself because he's braindead.

NO INSTANT DEATH MOVES: You cannot *kill* opponents. You can kill your own guy, then make him come back to life via the Deus Ex Washing Machina.

IMPORTANT
If you have a big school project coming up, your family members are perpetually and deathly ill or you think you're going to lose interest PLEASE do not sign up and waste our time.

All the fights are at the same time to avoid it lasting ages, then the winners move on. So in the first round, everyone that is in the tournament will be fighting at the same time, in their own threads.

All the fights start at the same time so that they end at the same time and we can move on quickly to the next round.
