Peli, great final comic. The Rock Band twist had me laughing out loud, and I caught the Hitler moustache on Zed. However, AnnieMae was nearly as creative with Zed's powers as you were, so jokes and creativity won't win my vote alone. Your art has improved but AnnieMae's is so much better that I don't know if it matters much.

Too bad I had to vote against the most creative character in the tournament, but I think it says something about the quality of the entries if we have to eliminate good contestants in such an early round. (Although perhaps I should hold my tongue: as I write this, the vote is only 3-0 against Peli. If you do advance I look forward to your next battle.)

I liked Peli's comics and his character is unique to say the least, but I don't know how he will stand up in the later rounds.
I am not a fussy person by nature so I didn't find anything wrong with Annie's comics either, and overall I think hers were better done. So I voted for her.
Like Jew though I don't mind at all if it turns out you win, peliman, so good luck.

I went with annie. she was more creative and funny, and you can't even start comparing the art.
Common guys, take the fucking time and READ the comic. It makes it all that much better, really!

Peli's weren't drawn that well and, really, weren't that funny.

Annie's were drawn really well and not that funny either. The only reason they were confusing is because of Peli's character, which made it hard to tell where speech began and ended, and was confusing because it could somehow summon objects by spelling them out which made everything random.

So I voted for Annie. In the long run, her character is better, she's a better artist, and I don't see anything suggesting that Peli's comics are funnier, just less confusing.

Yeah but she reused letters, and didn't create the objects with the letters, which were two of the big points of Zed's powers, and gave her a lot more room to move with it.

Annie definately. Peli's weren't funny and the art was rubbish. Annie's were more creative and had excellent art.

Sometimes, you have to let go of your sense of reality when it comes to your character; Jewsasarus Rex doesn't exactly breath fire, but it work'd for the humor you were going for in your comic.

Peli's were in my opinion mostly terrible art wise with one good joke here and there, but pretty creative.

but Annie's were incredibly disappointing to me because there was such good art but so much unfunny.

I voted for Pelican Man because I found it to be more entertaining.

I personally dislike it when people state opinions as facts. I don't know if it was your intention or not, but I would apreciate it if you could avoid it in the future.

I had to vote for Annie, he/she had the better art, whereas Peli's looked like 3rd grade doodles. Annie was also funny, though it was hard to tell which panel was which. Also Peli's character was the letter Z, what the hell is with that?

Peli's was funnier, and I think having a letter as a character would have made it more challenging but he still did well.

That's what creativity is, making more room for yourself to push the boundaries. She may not have used Zed's powers exactly the way you intended people to use them, but she stuck to the general principle, using upside down f's as t's and stuff. Characters always gain new powers, technology, or allies throughout a tournament in order to be successful. You can't really restrict what someone will do with your character.

And I really don't get why everyone has problem with Annie's being confusing. It made more sense than a comic with no descriptions and ambiguous illustrations. I don't mind reading something if it makes it easier to follow, in fact I'd much prefer it instead of having to think to figure out what the picture means.

Ok Pelis was a lot more thought through and it would be a lot harder to use him so i would like to see how he does agianst other oponents.

I also dont think Annie really knows how to use Zed i mean When Peli was using the LAMP he made a lamp out of the letters yet Annie just drew titts affter writing TITTS.

way to go, Peli! I honestly didn't think you were serious with that character, but HEY YOU WUN!! I guess theres more interesting scenarios you can put a fucking letter in than you can a character that has over 300 years of religious fodder behind him.

I mean, who wants to see a Bar Mitzvah? Or a penny-pincher joke? Or even worse and more cliche, a pig or Holocaust reference? A pig; jewish kryptonite?

PUH-LEASE! i'd rather see a fucking letter of the alphabet fight a fucking elephant. That's entertainment in a duffle bag.

You totally deserved to win, Peli. Anyone that can take the time and invent such a brilliant character is worthy enough to advance on to the next round. i'd be lying if i said you didn't deserve this illegitimate and totally biased win!

Maybe next time i'll be more creative with my character....i'm thinking the number one.

AnnieMae is right. She/he lost because most people didn't spend the time or brainpower to understand his/her cartoons. It was quite obvious the amount of time Peli put into first creating his character then scratching out his cave drawings.

I seriously hope he steps things up a LOT in the next round.
