Oh shit, Courage was some scary shit sometimes. Especially since it always came on as a rerun late at night. I still remember the episode where they visit a hotel infested with killer spiders. Fucking disturbed me.

Probably my number one character right here (and still scares the ever-loving fuck out of me):

The scariest character from Courage the Cowardly Dog, in my opinion, was the fucking barber. That guy creeped the shit out of me every time he looked at the screen and went "Naughty..."

What about the episode where they're in the hotel and Courage is going room to room and one just has a little girl facing the wall then turns around and pulls that Large Marge shit on ya? I'm pretty sure it was in CG.

EDIT:
Here it is. I didn't even watch it.

Of course it was the first result for, "courage the cowardly dog scary."
EDIT 2:
They took it down. Probably for being so horrifying.

I was thinking of that exact episode too. The last time I saw it a couple years ago I actually turned my head. I think the fact that she's playing a really sad song on a violin just made the mood even creepier.

Damn, who the hell thought Courage the Cowardly Dog was a good show for kids?

I was really afraid of the goosebump show too, especially the episode that they were in the Tower of London and the episode with the human eating goo! Now I'm scared of goo.

It was a great show, and I'm kind of disappointed that it's not on anymore (If it is, I've yet to see it on), but I'm sure that some of those episodes fucked some kids up.

All these things were/are pretty damn freaky. I always hated watching Courage the Cowardly dog because the old couple were fucking psycho and you never knew what shit would happen next. For whatever reason I remember beanstalks growing out of their mouths and the old lady screaming while being muffled by the stalk stretching her mouth wider. I don't even know if it actually happened in an episode or not.

God.

Goosebumps, I could handle. Are You Afraid of the Dark scared the piss out of me. I still remember that one episode, The Tale of the Dead Man's Float, where this horrible red beast came out of the school swimming pool. Scarred me for life.

EDIT:

EDIT2: I forgot about the fucking opening theme. Aaaaaaahghghhgmgmhg
The puppet and the swings. And then that match. I don't like this show anymore

Yeah, this is a true. There needs to be some element of terror in a child's development, for them to learn basic paranoia and get in touch with primal human instincts. For every Tellytubby, you need a Large Marge.

My childhood imagination (with the help of various children shows at the time) supplied me with enough Large Marges to alientate me somewhat today.

As said above, Freaky Fred from Courage the Cowardly Dog scared the shit out of me.

http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/d...an/Naughty.jpg

He looks like a child molestor. Even sounds like one with his 'Naaauughty' line. God I love that show. Now all little kid shows are full of shit like 'stranger danger' and being nice. Most of them even have morals in the end! I miss good scary kids shows like 'Invader Zim' For some reason that show just seems depressing. I love it though.

Hoooly shiit you're right. I loved watching the show but the characters scared the shit out of me. Like that episode where Huestus (the old guy) is seduced by some under water lady but she turns into this freakish monster. God damn.

Speaking of Courage the Cowardly dog, Katz (that red, sophisticated cat) and Dr. Zalost (especially with that creepy as hell music) gave me fucking nightmares. Seriously. Courage the Cowardly dog has managed to frighten me more than most horror movies.

Bumble the Bounce :( His teeth are so sharp, and his roar was unbelievable. My mom makes fun of me, because I was scared of him until I was like 12. And we watched it annually :(

Also, the siren on Courage the Cowardly Dog was the fucking scariest fucking thing in the fuckking world. Fuck!

Fucking Boo-Bah and Moomins. Shitting fuck those things freaked the hell out of me. The Moomins were fucken awful. They were meant to be all nice n friendly, but the whole show had this evil aura about it.

Boo-bahs are meant to be for tiny children and they're just freaky as fuck - the way they dance about and make those fuck-freaky noises gives me the shivers.

I refuse to get images or videos of either of these things for the sake of my sanity.

FUCK. I used to watch Moomins sometimes and they were fuckin' scary. The creepy tiny people and those creepy animals with the creepy stares

And I made the mistake last year to accidentally watch that Booh-Bah show. It freaked me out heavily. Like you say, that dance and noise comes straight from hell.
