So, I got everything needed except ONE to get Gouken, and the last one was a perfect I could have EASILY have gotten, only I didn't know it was required. Fuckkkkk

Also, I just unlocked Akuma for my friend with the game. He's pretty sick.

Well it's no wonder everyone plays as Ryu and Ken, they've got the most straight-forward moves.

For charge moves, hold the first direction a couple seconds then tap it in the second direction and press the punch/kick/whatever.

I can't play any of the characters who have charge moves. I spend half the match just crouching or whatever. Then I do my silly attack and have it miss or get all my shit flipped around.

I just fought a Gouken, finished his fat ass with a Tiger Genocide.

I've discovered Blanka is fucking incredible in the hands of someone whos good with him, same with Vega.

Finally getting the hang of the charge moves, they're not always worth it though. Blanka is much more useful and M.Bison can kick some ass. But I love El Fuerte, he's hilarious and can kick your ass.

I don't know why people don't use Sagat more, i mean look at him! And I discovered that Rufus is also a great character if you can nail his combos. He has some sick set-ups with his tornado spin, that lead fantastically into his ultra,

I'm gonna have to agree with you and say Sagat is the best shoto, he's like the rest of them but on steroids. I see quite a few Sagat players online though, so it's not like people don't know about him.

Thanks Matterialize, though I figured it out anyway. But you know what, as much as I like how the game looks and plays, it makes me really fucking angry.

Sometimes its so fucking cheap. I like playing with Ryu, yeah he may be a "cheap" character, but I just like playing as him, regardless of him being easy to play with. (Though his Ultra is easily avoidable if you just jump over it, which happens quite often).

I was playing on medium and i got to the fat guy, Rufus, i think his name is. Well, lets say this, he whooped my ass 10000000 times. He spammed his moves like crazy and really infuriated me. I ended up having to spam my hadoukens, which I really did not want to do.

Finally I beat him, and then I was doing okay, until I get to E.Honda and had a bit of trouble. But the worst was when I got to Sagat. he shot taht fucking fireball attack constantly and I couldnt fucking get near him.

So, I have yet to beat arcade mode with ANYONE. its such bullshit. Anyone else have this problem? (i even put it on easy and still had trouble)

Yeah, it's generally a hard game, especially if you've never played a fighting game before. I'd always heard about projectile spammers online, so I tried arcade mode with Ryu and did nothing but spam hadokens. And it worked. I only changed tactics when I got to Seth.

C.Viper's got a move that can hit a guy on the other side of the screen, but it's not a projectile. It comes up out the ground under your opponent as soon as you fire it.

I can beat the game with Ryu in a heartbeat. And let me just say, Gouken is the hardest fucker to get. I got 2 perfects, 3 or 4 Ultras, and the rest normal, and didnt die. But he didn't unlock. I was pissed

And so we were playing as Akuma, and on the easiest difficulty, the last 5 guys pulled Ultra combos on my ass. What the fuck?

I actually just played this today, nothing special just the Arcade Mode. Gotta say Balrog was my favourite to use, as well as Blanka. It's pretty decent, but it was my brother's game that he rented and he claimed it was a waste of his money and time, so I'm neutral to it really, since I only played it for a good 15 minutes.

Go to Versus, put in the hardest setting, have CPU vs CPU, and pick El Fuerte vs Vega.

C. Viper reminds me of a King of Fighters knock off- which is okay, since I play King of Fighters a lot. :) But even so, I still prefer M. Bison. If you can time his moves well enough and cancel at the right times, Bison can decimate just about any opponent. As for unlocking all the characters, that's really easy to do. You just have to have a bit of patience.

Oh, and when I went to Gamefaqs and got on the forums there, no one could really decide what was the correct way to get Gouken. Has this forum hammered it out?

I got him after getting 3 ultras, a bunch of perfects, and 5 first attacks on Arcade with one round Easiest mode.

Accidentally went into the ranked matchmaking (usually stick to nooby player match) and got my ass handed to me by some Gen player.
I noticed his snazzy alternate costume and was wondering if there's somewhere I can see all the characters' alternate costumes?

Oh yeah, me and my friend unlocked everyone. Gouken and Seth aren't bad, but Seth's move list is fucking huge.

Well Played it for the first time today, love how a lot of the characters balance out, only disappointing thing was Seth, a usual cop out for fighting games, a boss that uses some moves from every character (apart from his specials).

Put it on very easy and one round matches, and hadouken spam 2 people to get your perfects. If you didn't know already about the settings. It still counts.

I play a very very good gouken.
